Andrew Kamali
Andrew Kamali serves as the Capacity Building Program Manager at the Go Green Initiative, where he leads efforts under the program to improve Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG’s) in low-income and Tribal school districts. His work centers on advancing environmental justice through equitable policy development and school district-focused capacity building.
Andrew brings a multidisciplinary background spanning environmental health, public policy, and biomedical research. His experience includes developing novel treatments for traumatic brain injury, improving asthma-related health outcomes in children, and shaping state-level environmental public health regulations. Prior to joining the Go Green Initiative, he served as Project Manager for School Environmental Health and Safety Rule Development at the Washington State Board of Health, where he oversaw the creation of policies and tools to improve indoor air quality in K–12 schools.
Driven by a deep commitment to justice and health equity, Andrew has led community-based research initiatives and crafted practical resources for public health practitioners. He holds a BA in International Development Studies from UCLA and an MPH in Health Policy and Management from Tulane University. He is currently completing an MBA in Health Services Administration at Eastern Washington University.
