What is a School Green Team?

  • A Green Team is a group of staff and students who work collaboratively to help their school operate more sustainability. 
  • Green Teams have at least one administrator, teacher, custodian, and student member. 
  • Members work together to train staff and students to prevent and reduce waste using a 3-bin system and food share table. 
  • Team members should meet regularly to discuss their efforts to educate their students, monitor contamination, and track waste data.
