John Scott

John is passionate about entrepreneurship, urban development, and sustainability. He works as a workforce management consultant with ADP and focuses on helping organizations to optimize their human capital management structures. Prior to joining ADP, he worked at Covanta, the world’s largest energy from waste company. At Covanta, he worked with state, local, and national policymakers; environmental advocacy groups; and large commercial businesses to help drive sustainability efforts. He has had experience in: business development, community outreach, government affairs, merger integration, and sustainability consulting. John is also a valuable member of the Go Green Initiative board.

As a public speaker, John is routinely sought to speak in front of student groups and administrators, at high schools and colleges, on the topics of renewable energy, community engagement, and environmental justice.

In addition to his experience in industry, John devotes time to volunteer activities that include: Executive Director of Keep Chester Beautiful (a Keep America Beautiful affiliate); Member of the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission Task Force for Public Participation and Goods Movement; Board Member for the Chester Environmental Partnership; and Member of the Metropolitan Council of Governments, and Vice Curator of the World Economic Forum: Global Shapers (Philadelphia Chapter).

John holds a Master’s in Management from Fordham University – Gabelli School of Business. In addition, he received a Bachelor’s of Science in Finance from Lincoln University (PA). Also, he completed international studies at the American College Dublin in Dublin, Ireland and at the Polytechnic Institute of Namibia in Windhoek, Namibia. He is an avid swimmer, traveler, and foreign policy wonk.
