Brady Root

Brady has been passionate about environmental sustainability and conserving natural resources since before she can remember. As Student Program Coordinator, she is excited to be working alongside the Camden community to accomplish shared goals and empower young people to develop into future environmental leaders.

Her professional career began as a community organizer which established how integral she sees community engagement and support. Brady continued her pursuit for change as the coordinator of a nationally recognized peer educational theater program with a focus on bystander intervention and the belief that everyone can play a part to create violence-free communities. She believes that in order to change the world we live in, we must first commit ourselves to understanding our role in it through education.

Brady holds a Masters of Social Work from the Rutgers Graduate School of Social Work with a Certificate on Violence Against Women and Children. She also holds a Bachelors of Science from the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences in Environmental Policy, Institutions and Behaviors. She served as a part-time instructor at Rutgers University in the Department of Human Ecology, in addition to other Departments.
