Lauren Londoño is a freshman at California Polytechnic State University, majoring in Nutrition with the intent to promote sustainability and healthy eating. Although majoring in Nutrition, environmental advocacy is her passion and intends to use her knowledge of sustainability in the field of nutrition. She is committed to making a positive impact in the world, leading by example through everyday lifestyle choices. For example, she has followed a plant-based lifestyle for four years & follows a zero-waste lifestyle. She has also given a TEDx Talk in January 2019 at her high school, talking about the importance of living your values & taking initiative at a local scale. This is her second year working for The Go Green Initiative and has been involved in the Local Leaders of the 21st Century Club at Amador Valley High School. Lauren is hopeful for a future that prioritizes sustainability and environmental protection.
