Megan has always advocated for sustainable practices, especially in food systems and infrastructure. She began working with The Go Green Initiative in 2016, and takes care of all types graphic design projects, writing, outreach, and more. She was also a part of the team that spoke about sustainability in K-12 schools at the 2017 CRRA conference.
Megan currently attends the University of California, Davis where she is a Biotechnology major. At Davis, she is active in several sustainability and environmental clubs, a member of the sustainability council, and conducts research about genetically preventing post-harvest spoilage and waste in fresh produce. She hopes to apply her genetic engineering training to more sustainability and environmental protection projects in the future.
