Megan Shih
Megan has always been an advocate for sustainability and environmental protection, especially in food systems and environmental justice communities. She began working with The Go Green Initiative in 2016 and was an early driver of the Local Leaders of the 21st Century program. From there, she’s had the opportunity to move from intern to staff to project manager, contributing to a variety of programs, initiatives, projects, and conferences along the way.
Megan attended UC Davis for her Bachelor’s of Science, where she studied biotechnology and statistics. At Davis, she was active in several sustainability and environmental initiatives and conducted research about genetically preventing post-harvest spoilage and waste in fresh produce. Megan is continuing her education at UC San Francisco, pursuing a Master’s of Science in global health sciences. She intends to continue working on a variety of health, environmental, and sustainability topics throughout her career.
