Community Education Series: Green Learning Brought to Pleasanton!

What is the Pleasanton Community Education Series?!

The City of Pleasanton provides opportunities for their community to become involved in city matters through the education series. Pleasantonians are able to register for various workshops that range from arts to STEM and everything in between!

GGI has partnered with the City of Pleasanton to present a Community Education Series on waste reduction and sustainability. This series is centered around helping community members to comply with:

  • SB1383,
  • reducing waste,
  • saving money,
  • and creating a more sustainable city.

Upcoming Workshops

In March, GGI plans to host workshops on waste management. Pleasanton residents may participate in 6 events, including

  • two Waste Reduction and B1383 workshops on March 6th or 9th @5pm-6pm
  • four one-hour-long tours of the Pleasanton Material Recovery Facility on March 16th @10am or 1pm or March 17th @10am

These workshops are lead by Amador Valley and Foothill High School Local Leaders: a GGI-funded program that empowers high schoolers to become civically engaged and take climate action.
