GGI Internships: Why They’re Awesome and How You Can Help!

In order to run our annual paid, summer internship program, GGI is seeking donors & sponsors!

What are GGI Internships? The GGI Internship program benefits both our youth participants as well as environmental outcomes.

Through the GGI’s annual summer internship program, high school and college students pursue high-impact projects in environmental policy and sustainability infrastructure — with a focus on real results in local projects like:

  • waste reduction,
  • water quality & conservation,
  • energy conservation, &
  • food quality.

GGI Interns participate in a 7-week paid, program of rigorous skills training and project-based learning, culminating in real-world deliverables advancing environmental health, safety, and sustainability.

Hear from our former GGI Interns:

My confidence in the field of environmentalism is definitely stronger. I now have a greater understanding in a wide variety of fields including marketing, public relations and policy, and environmental sciences. I am thankful to meet a diverse group of individuals who I will hopefully see throughout my career. -Giovanni, former GGI intern

I love how inclusive and involved the workspace is at the GGI. Every intern and staff member is so supportive. Personally, my favorite park about working with the GGI is the amount of impactful and actionable change that all the interns can make, whether though outreach or creating marketing collateral. – Hira, former GGI intern

GGI internships are meaningful and important and we want to be able to continue providing them to our students. This is only possible with help from you.

Please donate to help support youth workforce development & local sustainability!

In addition to individual contributions, corporate sponsorship opportunities are available.
